Amy D’Andrea MEd, RVT, CVT, VTS(EVN) Founder

Amy has been a veterinary technician for over 22 years and holds registrations and certifications in multiple states.  She is a graduate of the Mount Ida College Veterinary Technology program where she completed both her Associates and Bachelors Degrees in Veterinary Technology before going on to receive her Master’s in Education from American Intercontinental University.  Amy completed training at Cornell University Veterinary School in canine and feline basic and advanced life support, earning a certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.  Most of her career has been dedicated to working in AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology programs where she achieved the rank of Associate Professor.  While teaching in higher education, Amy became a nationally renowned speaker, authored various publications, including 5 textbooks, and became one of the industry’s leading subject matter experts in veterinary technology education. She has earned a multitude of awards including the Teaching Excellence Award, Distinguished Alumni Award and the Hill’s Scholarship.  Amy served for many years on the Executive Board of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America where she was the President in 2006.  Additionally, Amy served on the organizing committee for the Academy of Equine Veterinary Nursing Technicians and was the chairperson for the Committee on Veterinary Technician Specialties for 3 years.  Amy is proud to be the CEO of Mile High Veterinary Consulting which provides an assortment of consulting services to the veterinary community and is the founder Pet Emergency Education, an animal CPR, First Aid and emergency training company which provides recognized and approved certification courses to animal and veterinary professionals.

Jordan Di Marco

Jordan owns and operates Dogma Catma Pet Sitting, LLC in Boulder, CO. She attended the University of Colorado at Denver and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and opened Dogma Catma Pet Sitting, LLC that same year. Since opening up her business, she has enthusiastically pursued a wealth of continuing education in pet care and disaster preparedness for pets. She was awarded Pet Sitters International Pet Sitter of the Year award in 2011 and won the Boulder County Gold award in 2015 for Best Pet Sitting Service.​

Rebecca Giacomini CVT, VTS(ECC)

Rebecca began her veterinary nursing career in 2003 within small animal general practice, stayed in this arena for just over a year, then transitioned into emergency and critical care medicine where her love for specialty veterinary medicine blossomed.  She continued her undergraduate studies in chemistry then pursued becoming a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care in 2012.  Rebecca hopes to become a VTS in anesthesia and is an active member of the IVAPM.  Her professional interests include lung disease and mechanical ventilation, nursing management of the septic and coagulopathic patient, anesthesia for the emergent and septic patient, and trauma stabilization.  Rebecca has years of dedicated interests in animal behavior, welfare, and client education.

Brenda berdahl BS,EFDA

This is a well rounded pet enthusiast. Meet Brenda and her Extended family. Her knowledge of caring for animals extends from her dog Jasper to her flock Of chickens that are shown through out the state. She has trained in healthcare certifying people in CPR since early 90’s and has now extended her training classes to offer training for this extended group of Pet CPR and 1st Aid.

Rachel Schaub

Rachel is so happy to be a certified Pet CPR and First Aid instructor with Pet Emergency Education! Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she now lives in Nederland, Colorado with her husband, daughter, dogs, and cats. Animals have been one of Rachel's life passions since she was a child so becoming an instructor seemed like a great fit and goes hand in hand with her other job as a Certified Therapeutic Canine Massage Therapist. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, reading, music, and learning new skills. She looks forward to meeting you in class!
